Self-care emerged as a concept to counterbalance the reckless, efficiency-seeking, and invincible modern lifestyle. Although a basic necessity, it struggled tremendously to gain legitimacy. Luckily, it became more and more acknowledged as a crucial aspect to take part in our daily rituals.

During my work with corporate employees, moms, housewives, or caretakers I realize how central is self-care. All steps one needs to take in the course of a personal transformation depend on how much a person can allow her/himself to carve time for personal needs.

What is self-care? Self-care is mindfulness about paying attention to ourselves, needs, and wishes. It requires us to know our limits – and respecting them, resting -not only when we are exhausted but on a regular basis, paying attention to what we eat, having a healthy sleep, taking time to invest in self-awareness among others.
